I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
